Consignment shop in the heart of downtown Sidney, BC. Call or come in-person to book an appointment for clothing drop offs.
INFORMATION COLLECTION

To send consigners updates regarding their account and to ensure access to our online account services, Connections requires an email address as part of the initial set-up process. If consignors do not want to give out an email, their account may still be checked via a sign in portal on our website.

A first/last name and a phone number must be given during account set up.

If consigners would like to give a friend or family member account access, their full name must be given by the main account holder to keep on file.
APPOINTMENTS

All items are to be dropped off by appointment only. All items must be in a bag, or box. Please no hangers.

A drop-off appointment lasts anywhere from fifteen minutes to an hour depending on the size of the drop-off: 15 items or less, 30 items or less, or 45 items or less. Consignors are free to browse the shop while waiting or come back after the look-through is complete. The items that we cannot consign will be returned to the consigner the day of the appointment.
5.1
If a consigner fails to pick up their returned items the same business day, Connections reserves the right to donate the items once a week after the date of their drop-off has passed.
5.2
Connections reserves the right to donate any items accepted for consignment after the drop-off appointment due to previously unnoticed damage.
CONNECTIONS MAY CALL OFF THE APPOINTMENT IF THE CONSIGNER:

1)
Brings more items than originally booked for (i.e., in denominations of 15 items or less, 30 items or less, or 45 items or less) without providing notice ahead of time. If this occurs, Connections reserves the right to deny either the additional items or the appointment in full.
2)
Is more than 30 minutes late to an appointment without giving notice. If this occurs, Connections reserves the right to deny the appointment in full.
ITEMS AND CONDITION

All items must be FRESHLY laundered before being dropped off, particularly if the items have been in storage or tucked away for some time.

Items are accepted on a seasonal basis (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). Any off-season items will not be accepted.

We do not accept items that are stained, discoloured/faded, damaged (i.e, pulls, missing buttons, pilling).

We do not accept: children's clothing, formal wear, suits and business attire, most heels, socks and underwear, bras, costume jewellery.

We do not accept the following brands: Ardenes, Seductions, Urban Heritage, Revamped, All Nygard Brands, Ivanka Trump, Old Navy, Tuff Athletic, Rickis, Reitmans, Suzy Shier, Joe Fresh, George, Kirkland, Costco Brands, Walmart Brands, Shein, “Sketchy” Fast Fashion Website Brands

Items may not be accepted that are out of style, overly generic (fast fashion brand basics), or if we have a surplus.
12.1
EXCEPTIONS: These lists may be updated at Connection’s discretion. Visit connectionsconsignment.com for updated lists. Some items from the above may be accepted when they are new with tags or trendy vintage pieces.
PRICING AND TERM

Prices will be determined by Connections based on label, condition & desirability. Prices are subject to change at any time due to previously unnoticed wear/damage, season change, and general competitive retail market prices.

If the consignor has a specific item that they require a minimum price for, they must inform the staff member helping them at the time of the appointment. NOTE: This is for expensive/unique items only. If we do not think we can get the desired price the item may be returned at time of appointment.

Items stay on the floor for approximately five months. Four months full price, one month half price. All unsold items at the end of this term are passed along to charity. Please Note: Items may be donated/marked down before the five month term due to previously unnoticed wear/damage or season change.

Consignors receive 40% of the item's selling price. Consignment payouts can be requested in person, at the shop, at any time. Depending on the current status of the float the consignor may receive either cash or cheque at the staff's discretion.

Clients that have not brought in clothing for consignment or requested money for one year will be considered inactive and automatically deleted from the system and ownership of remaining money becomes property of Connections Consignment.
CONSIGNORS RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY POINTS
Make sure to follow the appointment guidelines. Exceptions can not be made.
Know how long you have to collect funds. Connections is not responsible for contacting the consignor when items sell. Check on your account at connectionsconsignment.com.
Be prepared for items to be passed along to charity if they can not be sold. E.g. time expired on floor, season change, etc.
Know when your account expires. Inactive accounts will automatically be deleted from our system and ownership of remaining money becomes property of Connections Consignment.
PLEASE NOTE
We do our best at Connections to care for your items. However, Connections is not responsible for theft or damages caused by customers, fire, flood, earthquake, etc.
Connections reserves the right to terminate the above agreement to our discretion. E.g. failure to comply with the above terms or inappropriate communication with staff.
Policy Sheet (Prior to June 2023)
You will be given a card with your account number written on the back. To access your account, you must present either the card or a photo of the card. Without this you cannot drop off items or collect money from the account.
AII clothing drop-offs must be done by appointment, one garbage bag being the maximum per drop off. All items must be freshly washed and, in a bag, or box. Please no hangers. The items that we cannot consign will be returned to you at this time. Please Note: If we notice a damaged article after the initial look through the item will be donated.
Consignors receive 40% of any item sold. You are responsible for collecting any money owing once items have sold. After one year, if you have not brought in any clothing, your account will be closed and any leftover money will be property of Connections. Please make sure to keep up to date with your account.
Generally, items stay on the floor for a total of five months. That is four months full price and one month 50% off. ALL unsold items are donated after that time.
Connections sets the price of all of our stock. We reserve the right to donate or mark down items at any time. This may be due to a previously unnoticed mark or rip, damages, season changes, or if the item is no longer suitable for the store.
lf you have any items that you require a minimum price for, please inform one of our staff at the time of dropping off the item. We then can have a discussion and work together to decide on a price for that specific piece. Please Note: This is only for expensive/unique items.
We do not accept the following brands/items: All Walmart brands, Ardenes, Joe Fresh, Old Navy, Seductions, Street Wear Society. Formal wear/prom, children's clothing, toys, books, or any household items.
We do our best at Connections to look after all items in the store. However, Connections is not responsible for theft or damages caused by customers, fire, flood, etc.
